Hawaii is beautiful, but has many “warts” (homeless in parts of honolulu, cost of living, etc). One of the few places in the world where you can go from beach to mountain in less than 30 minutes. Weather is fantastic if you don’t mind temps in the 70’s and 80’s. Look for a flight to the Kona Airport, get a hotel room in Kona, and rent a car.
